Very first model

The 810 Auger Granulator (picture on the right) with patented pick a part separator was the first model Granutec manufactured.

"Quicker than a Picker" - Granutec's auger/granulator system makes a great package to achieve an operator-less, in-line processing of sprues / runners. As a result of using our granulator / separator systems, customers have experienced the ways in which our combo is "quicker than a picker" because our system is not subject to cycle times. Customers have reported experiencing faster production times and turnaround.

Granutec's auger-matic granulators low profile design fits perfectly under the press. Its multi-task grinding function allows maximum through put reclamation of pre cut sheet, guillotined, thermoformed skeleton. Standard central lube system permits lubrication maintenance while still in production. Feeding options include feed roll systems and special feed hoppers for reclaiming rejected parts separately or simultaneously for complete multi-task reclamation. Left hand configuration and many other customized items.

Tangential feed cutting chamber and auger entry are engineered for continuous granulation without jamming or wrapping up of runners. Hi Shear mount counter-angled rotor and bed knives are D-2 Hi-Carbon/Hi-Chrome tool steel produce a clean, precise cutting action for increased throughput, knife life and uniform granules, all with less power consumption. Cutting chamber cover and angled screen cradle are mechanically/electrically interlocked. emergency buttons are located at the control panel and end of auger trough. Hour meter, which allows preventative maintenance scheduling on knives, bearings and drive belts is standard.

Optional wear package includes Granutuf knife for processing abrasive and glass-filled materials. Additionally, carbide coated screens are also available. Hardened replaceable wear plates and carbide coating and hard faced weld for the cutting chamber and rotor to extend granulator performance. special diameter hold screens are also available for extended granulator wear. water-cooling packages which include water cooled cutting chamber and rotor for processing high temperature material.

A metal detector for ferrous and non-ferrous metal detector stops the auger and signals the operator in the event that metal falls into the auger trough and prevents metal from getting into the cutting chamber. Blower evacuation is recommended and available.

Additional optional items include: A zero speed switch, a safety device which senses loss of rotor revolutions will shut down granulator motor ultimately preventing machine from self-destruction. Soundproofed packages to meet 90 dba. Other options include 5-blade, segmented and stair step rotor configurations for more cuts per revolution to achieve greater throughput.
